Holiday Group Inc. was founded in 1951 by the Sanders family and continues to be a privately held Canadian corporation managed by a group of principals who together have served the company in product development, sales and management for well over a hundred years.

Holiday Luggage's origins date back to WWII when David Sanders was commissioned to make wooden boxes due to a shortage in the U.S. The Sanders family opened a factory in Granby, Quebec under the name Associated Industries and continued to make luggage for the Canadian market until 1972 at which time the operation moved to the current location in Montreal. When the wood box construction was replaced by soft luggage, they began importing from Stradellina, Italy eventually sourcing in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China. At its peak Holiday Luggage employed 300 skilled factory workers some of whom still work in various positions for the company.

Today, Holiday Group Inc. develops and markets proprietary brands Travelpro, Atlantic, Austin House, Nextech and TravElle and licensed brands such as Roots, Air Canada, Swissgear, Wenger, High Sierra and Nygard. The product range has expanded from luggage to include business cases, camera and media bags, backpacks, sport bags, hockey bags, ski and board bags, handbags, small leather goods, travel accessories and umbrellas.
